Yamba NSW north coast

In July I spent a week at a small town, Wooloweyah, just outside Yamba and next to Angourie beach. Wooloweyah is on Lake Wooloweyah and the home I stayed in backed onto the lake. The view was beautiful, through gum trees and paperbarks, and shared with swans and a raucous bird life - and the odd tick.

Angourie beach is well known to the surfing world and is a half hour walk away. Its one of those beaches with miles of empty sand and lines of waves stretching into the distance.
