Rural Victoria - farm country

Driving from Albury to Bendigo I came across lots of 'sunburnt' country. The colours were very intense.

Maryborough, Victoria

I spent Xmas with friends on their property at Maryborough. The property was being sold and there was a massive clean up and garage sale. I became fascinated by some old petrol drums and the rust on the drums. The rust colours were very intense.

I spent a lot of time walking in the bush and get reacquainted with the traditional Australian bush track. Multiple exposures enabled me to capture something of the subtle ancient blurred feel of country tracks.

Wilsons Promontory

While in Melbourne I took a drive down to Wilson Promontory. There was lots of beautiful and changing scenery on the road to the Promontory.

Williamstown, Melbourne

I've been to Melbourne many times. Port Phillip bay is beautiful but Williamstown was a real delight.  I had a lot of fun doing my multiple exposures combining wood on the jetty with the boats and Melbourne in the background.

South Coast NSW

In the 2012 new year I drove up the south coast from Melbourne to Sydney. I was quite taken by a jetty at Wonboyn Lake.  Favourite places were Mallacoota and Bermagui.

Tarban Creek

Its soccer season and one of my favourite fields is River Glade that runs along side Tarban Creek at Gladesville. Each game about 2 balls end up in the creek and get wafted away on the tide. They drift off among the boats I have photographed - with the fig tree bridge in the background.

Windswept tree at Cape Banks

Cape Banks is the rocky windswept northern headland at the entrance to Botany Bay. There are several old fortifications around the headland and next to one is this wind bent lonely tree. One evening at sunset I used multiple exposures to blend together the tree, the sunset and paint on the worn concrete fortifications.
